Take a look at Addrew's paper from 1958. In MAS NMR, one usually Fourier transforms the entire FID containing all of the rotational echos. The rotational echos are the origin of the spinning sidebands in the Fourier transformed NMR spectrum.

Glenn Glenn Faceyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05146575170575279335noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3300702123878659843.post-43089269984966298812017-03-22T23:12:57.698-04:002017-03-22T23:12:57.698-04:00Dear Glen,

Do you know what is the physical or chemical origin of rotational echoes? In MAS NMR usually the signal from the top of the first rotational echo is Fourier transformed, why the rest of the FID is not used?

Thanks again,

RezaAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14984026705139785183noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3300702123878659843.post-86829735720018113232015-04-19T14:42:09.546-04:002015-04-19T14:42:09.546-04:00Cool post Glen. Check out the TOP processing trick for turning the 1 pulse signal of rotational echoes into a 2D spectrum. http://www.grandinetti.org/resources/Publications/070-jcp_138_174203_2013/070-jcp_138_174203_2013.pdf

philipPhiliphttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11733259152071253632noreply@blogger.com
